This is one of the thinnest qualities of Iranian modern production of kilim. KILIM (in Persian "ghelim") means "woven carpet" and he differentiates from the knotted rugs because he is flat and without pile. Originally Kilims were realized by the women of the nomadic tribes, according to different techniques ("to crack" it was the most common) and primarily using wool of sheep or goat, dyed with natural colors. The wool of camel (particularly thin) can be find in the most antique Kilims and Berber kilims. The origin of many patterns goes up to prehistoric epochs, but is them zoomorphique, geometric or floral, they are simple and finished forms constantly repeated. Colors, patterns and technique allow the Kilim to harmoniously insert him in modern and classical interior decorations. Some antique Kilims can be hanged to the walls.
