Antique Kilim Azerbaijan -This rug of old manufacture has been realized with the technique of the detach kilim, in which the design is made exclusively using colored threads of the woof. . For technical reasons the kilim patterns are always geometric, in fact the change of color can happen just horizontally or in orthogonal sense as opposed to the warp. The threads of the woof are usually combed refined and strongly twisted so also the most antique exemplary are very strong and solid at a stroke. This exemplary presents the more diffused elementary decorative plant in a lot of regions of the Caucasus or the repetition to all field of geometric patterns densely approached. The frequent changes of color produce the illusion of movement. Note well the rich borders that form an large band.
