Serapi is the commercial name gave to rugs knotted in Heritz among 1800 and the 1910. They were knotted by the Turkish people of city of Heritz in the Iranian Azerbaijan. The rugs made by the weavers of Heritz were and are extremely appreciated for their marvelous pattern and the sturdiness so they are among the more rated in the market. Their charm is mainly in the equilibrium of the colors. The Heritz produced in Iran today don't have any more the class of the greatest rugs knotted one century ago.
