Antique Dorosh carpet from the mid-1800s from the palaces of Tsar Alexander II, knotted in the area of ​​the same name. The carpet was knotted on commission from the Russian imperial house in the second half of the 1800s. In the upper part we see the two-headed eagle, coat of arms of the Russian tsars. Hanging below is the yellow cartouche with the seal of Tsar Alexander II, ascended the throne in 1855 and assassinated in 1881. On the sides of the shield-shaped medallion there are four flags: On the left side we see two with the initials of the tsar A2 and R1. In the other side M and D, Maria d'Assia-Darmstadt with whom she had eight children.
