Old Ardabil rug - Situated on Iranian Azerbaijan mountains, ArdabilL, being a frontier city, it fells the effect of influence of Caucasian geometric pattern maintaining its identity. The rugs knotted in this area also have subjects similar to those of Heritz. The rug of Ardebil exposed in the Victoria & Albert Museum in London has made immortal the master Maqusud Kashani that knotted it in 1539 - 1540.
